Robbie Burns Dinner & Show
Enjoy a Wee Bit o' Scottish Fun at the Robbie Burns Dinner & Show on Friday, January 27th. The event will run from 5:30pm to 9:00pm at the Central Lions Seniors Recreation Centre (11113-113 Street) and will feature the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, The Pipes and Drums of Edmonton Transit as well as the Keri-Lynn Zwicker Duo. Tickets, available by contacting the Central Lions Seniors Association at 780-496-7369, are $30 for CLSA/NESA Members and $35 for Non-Members/Guests. Purchase deadline for tickets is January 25th.
St. Albert Legion Robbie Burns Dinner and Dance
The St. Albert Legion Branch 271 is hosting its' Robbie Burns Dinner & Dance at Cornerstone Hall on Saturday, January 28, 2012. Cocktails at 6:00pm, with Festivities beginning at 6:30pm and a dance to follow. Dress is Scottish or Semi-Formal. Share in this Scottish celebration and all the traditions that come with paying tribute to Scotland's famous poet. Festivities include Kathryn Cambell School of Highland Dance, piping in the haggis, the Loyal Edmonton Regiment Black Light Drumline as well as the Pipes & Drums of the Edmonton Police Service. Clan MacNaughton Pipes and Drums Annual Burns Night
Clan MacNaughton will be hosting their Annual Burns Night on January 28, 2012 at the Edmonton Scottish Society. To begin celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2012, ticket prices will remain at $40. Cocktails 5:30pm, Dinner 6:30pm, Ceilidh 8:30pm. Entertainment will be provided by the Clan MacNaughton Pipes and Drums, Rebecca MacKinnon Highland Dnacers and the Norman Rice Trio.
